Easter, 1916: The Irish RebellionPeople and events of 1916 in Hesburgh Special Collections and Notre Dame University Archives.

The Easter Rising of 1916 was one of the most important events in modern Irish history. Though the rebellion lasted only six days, it led to the formation of an independent Irish state.

In the centenary year, the Hesburgh Library hosted an exhibit, displaying items from the Special Collections and from Notre Dame's University Archives.
